Morning 8am, I was woken up by something oh-so-very disastrous! The main source of noise pollution - ah ma singing karaoke, went not only way off-beat but also way off-pitch. I really mean it. It was so loud and disastrous that I woke up saying WTF! (apologies for the vulgarity =P) Apparently there is this fair going on in the carpark just downstairs, what with carnival games and snack booths and not to forget, karoke session for the ah mas and ah peks. But do they hafta do it so early in the morning, on such a nice cooling holiday morning?!? Oh wells, luckily I was in a good mood as it was gonna be a great day!
It is cooking sandwiches day! Zk and I planned on going on a picnic. So went to Shop N Save to buy all the groceries. There was luncheon meat, bread, milk, butter, mozarella cheese, sausages, sausages and more sausages. Haha. Then we head for my place and started preparing our sandwiches. Zk said he did more of the cooking and that I only helped out a little. But at least I did the washing okay! Huh!
After frying our sausages and luncheon meat, and microwaving our sandwiches, we figured we were too lazy and hungry to go for the picnic as planned. So we just gobbled them up while watching tv. Lotsa nice programmes on National Day! Sandwiches were so yummilicious and it feels good to have the whole house all to ourselves. =P After slacking for awhile we headed out for dessert!
Took NEL, got off at Dhoby and walked all the way to Paragon. Yay! Dessert at Coffee Club Paragon. Ate cakes and zk got to drink his earl grey vanilla at last. Cakes, chocolate and ice cream. makes zk a happy boy. Haha. After dessert, we went kino for awhile. And then it was time for me to meet my OG for dinner.
At last an official OG outing. Was wondering what took them so long to organise one. Oh wells, we will have to thank Stella - my new AGL for organising this one. Met at orchard station and walked over to this ulu building (I din check out what building it is) that is opposite the far east plaza, and dined at this mexican restaurant called 3-Monkeys. Mexican... Spanish... I like! And there was even a big screen showing the NDP Live! on Channel 5. Haha. Anyway, ate this dish called Mushroom Quesadilla (Queso = Cheese, Dilla = I have no idea) and drank strawberry banana blend. It was super nice man. Yum yum. Watched NDP and chit chatted while eating. Then somehow, everybody was to engrossed and excited about gossiping that we didn't even bothered about watching the fireworks. NDP seems kinda boring this year. After our long gossiping session, we went to play pool! Yay, my suggestion! Haha. Since there were so many of us and only 3 tables, we decided to play the 5 people game. Had real fun sabotaging each others' balls and yelling at each other. Then it was late, and everyone had to catch the last train, so we headed home.
Reached home, bathed, and then I went out again. Zk's driving me and his friends out to Serangoon gardens for supper and I came home only at around 3. Wow, what a long day! But it was definitely a fun one. =)
